Christmas? It is Christmas!

Christmas is the favourite time of the year. It is a season for giving. It holds a special meaning in my heart when I first celebrated Christmas in Australia. It was lonely when I was far away from home but I felt so warm and loved when I was in Parramatta.

I love it and the kids love it too. How nice if it is a white Christmas.

It is Presents' time. Let see what we got.

Genting & KL

This December, we didn't venture far, just up north to Genting, KL and Sunway Lagoon for a short trip of 5 days and 4 nites for the angels. They love it up there. Lot of thing to buy and play and maybe we will make another trip up this year if we didn't want to spend too much.

Exam and bike

Well, another 6 weeks to PSLE. Just unbelievable! It was a breeze going through the Oral. But I guess everyone will be the same, find them easy. This is the exam weeks for the 3 girls. And normally I let them have fun so that they won’t feel so stressed. I wish them all the best for all the papers. Have been revising with them for the past few weeks, hope they could manage with flying colors.

Ask Ally which subject she feared the most and not surprisely, it wasn’t Math but Science. Guess we have to work harder on Science. Jess really has a change of altitude towards her work. And she has been working very hard, waking up early in the morning to prepare her assignment. As her foundation is not there, she really has to work really hard to pull her grade up. She has improved a lot. I need to spend more time with her too.

However, I don’t deny that it is really very tiring to teach them 7day, a week but the scheme has been going well and I didn’t really want to break the momentum till the SA2 finished. The girls have been good. Occasionally, I will let them use the computer.

Will reward them with a trip to Palau Ubin on the 1st day of school holiday and they are really looking forwards to it, planning what to bring and what to do. Who else but the leader, always has the most idea up her mind?

Just get 2 new bicycles for the girls and they will absolutely thrill. I get to ride on it too. Ha! Ha! Need to do some exercise myself. Next, I am going to get myself, a pair of rollerblade so that I can blade with the girls as well.

Family Day

We have a family day outing at Sentosa and will crazy enough to wake up at 6.00am so that we could be there around 7. But we only managed to get there at 7.30am. And they will already so many cars.

But when we get to the pavilion, it was quite crowded but we get to choose what color we want for our goodies bags. And they will really heavy when u have to carried 9 sacks of them. Jess wanted to come along but she has to attend the NDP. Ally can’t decide on which to go as she loves both but she decided to go for her ballet instead. It will be more fun if all of them come along.

Not too bad initially, we get a good spot to pitch up the tent and off we went to collect the breakfast. They still have a lot but the drinks just aren’t hot enough.

Then we hit the game stalls but I guess we were way too early and the stalls are not ready to serve the first customer. However, when we get there a while later, the queues were so long to arouse any interest on me. But still queue up lor, half way through the queue, it started to drizzle. Mav ended up playing the game and he won a prize when I can’t even hit any of the targets. Olivia and Lea gave up halfway through the queue.

Then it was off to the beach and sandcastle. And it was chit chat time again, like we really have a lot to talk.

Soon, it was lunch and it started to rain, heavier and heavier. And the kids just continue to play in the rain. I guess there isn’t much opportunity to do that. I just hope they won’t fall sick.

The lunch counters are packed with people and do you believe it, they actually ran out of food. And they make us wait more than half an hr for the next batch to arrive.

We actually ate under the rain and have extra ingredient in our chicken. Mav hide in the tent to eat while Olivia and Lea went to the toilet and eat. I ate under the umbrella which was held up on the tree.

What a day and such a disorganized event.

New skin, links and pictures

I am getting the hang of it, exploring more stuff, putting in pictures and linking it to other blogs. It is quite fun. At least it is not so dull now. More pictures and more colors!

Decide to change the color scheme to make it less complicated and easier on the eyes. I hope you guys love the new look.

Not publishing

I do not know what happen to my post. It doesn't seem to be able to be published and I do not know why. Could it be the setting? Went through the whole option but didn't seem to find any. Guess it will take me some time to resolve before my post can be published again.

Finally, sort the help out. It is just the refresh button. How easy!

Here and there, this and that

I have been so busy recently to update my blog. So I disappointed you girls, is it? Work has been real busy, with so many demos and testing. Then I realized that I had been working for 15 years already. Wow, such a long time and that is no joke, especially if it is something that you don’t really like. I need to advise my girls to choose wisely on their careers’ choice and interests must always come first.

Well, so much have happen over the month. Holiday; Baby; DSA; Reunion; Wedding; Exam and etc. Then it is happiness, happiness and disappointment after disappointment. What a way to start a blog. Well, life still go on and it certainly wait for no men. Another new beginning!

Another baby girl has arrived at our house. It is always great to see baby as they are always so sweet and cute. Another one from me, you got to be joking. I guess I am better off spending more time with the kids now before they outgrow.

Meet up with my classmates in Jun at Hilton. It is weird to see them all again. 15 years already. And some, I could hardly recognized but some, still alright. My luo da is still the same, as skinny as a stick. But he has done well throughout the years. Good on you, men. Always happy to found out that all are doing well. Some of the professors are still around. Amazing!

Sean got married in Jun too. And I must say it is the most memorable wedding that I have ever attended. The bride is beautiful throughout the day. The song, the dance just brings the guests up to great height. The food is just awesome! What a lucky girl, to have found her beloved man. It is another fairy tale.

The little girl and boys are sweet too. He’s driving the car and she’s throwing the flowers. It is a very beautiful moment but too bad it wasn’t capture in my video.

After the wedding, the girls have great fun on the stage playing with the flowers and there is little Mav, among the roses.

4 weeks of holidays gone just like that and it make me wonder how much have the girls pick up.

Honestly, there isn’t much time for play as exam is just round the corner. As I count down, the PSLE is just 10 weeks away, which actually send a chill down my spine. Is that all I have? Kind of scary! Certainly no more time for play, my dear.

This is the only chance for you to prove to yourself what you have learned over the past 6 year and you had to go for it. Afterall, this is just the beginning of your 1st important exam in your school life. I know you can do it as you have been working very hard.

SO the way to go now is study, study and study. After that, you can play, play and play as much as you want. As always, there is always the Lanjut trip to look forward too. While you are at play, Jes and Lea will be sitting for their SA2.

Ming Kee Live Restaurant

Last night, I brought my whole family to Ming Kee Live Restaurant for dinner to celebrate my mum’s birthday. It turns out to be such a disappointment. The food was no where, any good. I wonder why people still recommend such a place. And it was downright expensive, $38 for a kg of crab. They even charge me for water, which they didn't mention till the bill come.

12 rice and 14 towels cost $20. I still can't figure out how they get to this figure.

Besides, I was overcharge by $3 and that make me very piss off. Should I go back to the restaurant to get back my $3?

With that kind of money that I paid, I guess I am better off spending it at Jade Crystal.

I was really very disappointed when everyone has such a high expectation of the food, especially when so many of the people recommend that it is nice and cheap.

I guess it is the opposite. Really not worth spending that kind of money.

Birthdays.. Kids....

We actually have three birthday parties to attend. We rejected one of it as we really don’t have the time. It is really tiring going out the whole day.

One of the parties was held at Savanah. I like the place; it is like a safari, with so many animals around. Mav was especially delighted. They even went bowling. It is very small, only one lane. How interesting! The girls were having a wonderful time at the pool. It has been a hot day and it is really tempting to get into the pool. Mav need a little coaxing before deciding to get himself wet. After we left the place, I was really tired. I would very much like to go back and sleep.

But we still have to go to my in law’s place for Clarence’s birthday. The kids get to eat the cake twice today.

Ravenscroft

Ravenscroft - quite a funny, silly show but we enjoyed it. This is a first time we actually watch a play, kind of interesting. I enjoyed it. The girls love it too but Jes said it is a stupid show. Lea might be too young to understand the story. However, they were commenting how the saliva is flying all over the places, which I agreed.

Think they especially love the chocolate cupcake they bought during the break. Think it was one of the highlight of the show. It was especially good. The kids love it. Silly me, for not asking, where the cake was from.

However, when the whole play is over, I am actually surprised that Mav hasn’t made a fuss throughout the whole show, when he doesn't understand what the play is all about. It must have been pretty boring for him but he has been really good. Maverick has always been excellent as honestly, he seldom misbehave.

If such opportunity arise, will not rule out the possibility of not watching another play.

The Cranky Little Boy

Wanted to get the little boy, a little hat. Ask him what color does he like. His answer will always be “Rainbow” color. Is there such a color? I guess he must be a very happy person as his world is always filled with colors and happiness. Even every art pieces that he colored. It is “Rainbow” color! Kids are kid, their world will always be colorful.

He had been crying from mum’s place all the way home simply because of a fall while playing with his sister. On the way home, he insisted that I carried his shoes for him even when I am already carrying him. I just ignore him. In the car, he pleaded that I carried his shoes when I need to drive. I took it from him, put down at the side. He will pick it up and asked me to take it. Down at the car park, he kept crying and walked bare footed, still insisting that I carried his shoe, right till the moment we got home. Amazing!

I went upstairs, he came along. All the while, just want me to carry his shoes. I took it from his hand and put somewhere. He will pick it up and ask me to carry. I am really amused. Later I just threw it into the water. That shut him momentarily.

I asked him to bath but he refused. I forced him to bath and he just screamed and screamed. After bathing, he insisted of wearing the same set of dirty clothing. I got so fed up that I just dump everything into the washing machine and said nothing. That kind of cools him down and stops his tantrum. I just said to him, you are not a good boy today.

A girl, A blog, A Beginning ....

Finally set up my blog. Kind of bare but it is okay. It should get better along the way and I shall be able to invite some of my close friend and family to view it when it is better. After all, Rome wasn’t built in a day.

It is April already. If there is four seasons, it will be spring now, with flowers spouting out everywhere. I always like that. Spring signifies the beginning of life, just like the birth of this blog. Happy writing….
